Who owns the data we put into Remembrick?

You do. Files are stored in your studio's workspace, can be exported in their original formats at any time, and remain accessible for 90 days after cancellation as a read-only export window. There is no proprietary container — what you put in is what you get out.

What about Revit, IFC, and SketchUp files? Are they readable later?

We store native formats untouched, so the original .rvt, .ifc, .skp, .dwg files stay openable in their authoring tool. The in-browser 3D viewer is convenience on top — your files are not converted into a Remembrick-only format.

Can the whole studio collaborate on one archive?

Yes. Remembrick is multi-user from day one. Each studio is one workspace, with per-project visibility and per-user roles. Pricing is per seat, billed monthly.

How does Smart Import handle messy folders with thousands of versions?

It auto-detects version chains (v1, v2, _final, _FINAL_v3, dated filenames), drops system junk (Thumbs.db, .DS_Store), and shows a preview before importing. Dedupe is opt-in per group — Remembrick proposes, you decide.

How much is Solo, and are students included?

Solo is $5/month (or $50/year, 15% off). Students pay the same — no separate tier, no .edu verification required. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card needed until day 7. The price covers hosting + a fair share of feature development. Solo includes 5 GB storage, 3 client-review invites per month, and unlimited projects. We charge per seat from your second user onwards (Studio plan: $20/seat/month).

Where is my data physically stored?

All files and metadata live in EU-based infrastructure — Supabase storage in Frankfurt, Vercel edge in Europe. No data leaves the EU. Practice-plan customers can request workspace-level routing through Dutch infrastructure for client contracts that require NL-only residency.

How long does it take to migrate ten years of archive in?

A 200-project, 65k-file archive typically imports in three to five evenings of light supervision. Smart Import handles the deduping and classification; you approve the proposed result. The studios we've onboarded report the bottleneck is naming projects — not moving files.
